The generated petition package will be stored in a DropBox folder. Here are instructions and tips to edit them.
View Report
Simply click "View Report" button will jump to the dropbox folder. However, it is read-only. Do not edit there. This is for quick view of your report.
Edit Report
Get access to the report folder
1. Share the folder with your own dropbox account.
Create a Dropbox account if you don't have one. Click "Share by Dropbox" button, and fill your dropbox email in the pop-up window.
2. Login your Dropbox account and find the shared folder.
Now you have full access to the folder. It is like the goole shared drive. Quickfiling will also store any documents into this folder. Do not change the folder name.
Add a new exhibit
First, upload the file to folder. Second, update exhibit.docx. Do follow the naming conventions. so that "Assemble" process can correctly package them into one PDF.
Example: add a recommendation letter.
Upload file to folder "Exhibit 1 Letters of Recommendation". and change its name to "Exhibit 1-1.pdf". If you have more to upload, just name it like "Exhibit 1-2.pdf", "Exhibit 1-3.pdf"..
Update "exhibit.docx"
you can directly edit the exhibit.docx file using online word app. (discussed later). in this file," add "Exhibit 1-1 Recommendation Letter from xxx".
Delete an exhibit
First, delete the exhibit from the folder. Second, delete it from exhibit.docx.
What will be overwritten during report generation
n the shared Dropbox folder, the files generated by Quickfiling will be overwritten with each report generation process. However, any files you upload with names different from Quickfiling's generated files will remain intact.
How to edit petition letter and exhibits?
To avoid mistakenly overwriting files during the report generation process, we suggest you create a copy of the Exhibits and Petition letter and rename them with different name. Do backup your dropbox folder every time you make big changes. Just Use Dropbox to save a copy of your NIW/SOC/EB1A folder.
How to edit files in Dropbox folder
Dropbox provides various ways to edit docx and pdf file. Just use them. Now you can edit PDF online with dropbox. or use "word for the web" to edit docx file online. No need to download them and edit locally.
