Intro. Everything in QuickFiling happens inside a workspace — a private, self-contained home for one petition. This article covers signing up and setting up your first one.

What a workspace is

A workspace holds one case, built by one specialist: its evidence, drafts, forms, and the assembled PDF. It's isolated from every other user and from your other workspaces. Your specialist reads the workspace at the start of each session, so all your progress lives in one place and resumes automatically.

Create your workspace

From your dashboard, choose your specialist — Dr. NIW, Dr. EB1A, Dr. O-1, Dr. I-485, or Dr. EB-5 (see [Choosing your specialist]). QuickFiling automatically initializes a dedicated workspace for that specialist — for example, a Dr. NIW workspace or a Dr. EB1A workspace — and takes you straight into it, ready for your first upload. You don't create or name it manually; choosing the specialist sets it up for you. Each specialist has its own workspace, so a NIW case and an EB1A case stay completely separate.

When your workspace opens, your specialist greets you with a short, specialist-specific tutorial that walks you through exactly how to use it — what to upload first and how each step works. Just follow along. For a deeper walkthrough, see the "How to Use Your Dr. [Specialist] Workspace" guide in that specialist's collection.

Multiple cases, multiple workspaces

Filing more than one petition — or helping family members, or managing client cases as an attorney or preparer? Create a separate workspace per case. Switch between them anytime from your dashboard; each keeps its own evidence and drafts completely separate.

FAQ

Can I have more than one workspace? Yes — one per case, as many as you need.

Will I lose my work if I log out? No. Everything is saved in the workspace and resumes where you left off.

Can I delete a workspace? Yes — see [Privacy & Security] for deletion and data export.
